Johnsonville, CT - The entire town is for sale. And it's a ghost town. It hasn't been inhabited in years and it's coming up for auction at the end of October with a starting bid at $800,000.
Perhaps we should start a Kickstarter campaign. Did you want to donate? Just think what Hometown Tales could do with an entire abandoned and possibly haunted village.
THE PLAN
By listing, it appears to have 8 structures among the 62 acres, as well as a pond and waterfall. So here's what we would do:
THE CHURCH - Naturally Hometown Tales Weddings, and possibly concerts by Vehicle, If Thousands, Drew Vics, Lyle Perez, Lex Wahl and the many talented musicians who have contributed greatly to our show over the years. Or do we rent it out to the Church of Satan? They seem to be looking for places for Black Masses these days. Perhaps another crazy cult? Although they'd probably sacrifice us as we'd naturally mock their rituals on our show :)
THE MILL - That has to stay abandoned for Haunted Tours and stuff. Just think of how much tortureous child labor sadly took place there, making it ripe for ghosts of children, the scariest kind !!
THE 2 HOUSES ON THE ROAD - Ok so one will be the offices and Hometown Tales Studios. This is where production of the podcast and the revamped TV Show will happen ! The other, we'll have to rent out to a Ghost Tour or something
THE COURTHOUSE - Naturally we'll need to have some place to have the receptions for the weddings we do in the Church.
THE AMITVILLE HORROR LOOKING HOUSE - I guess one of us will live there. My guess is it'll be me, because Bryan is way scared of ghosts.
OTHER PLACES - we'll need someone to provide really greasy-spoon diner food, movies, ghost investigations, museums, a parade, pie-eating contests and of course a great bar with awesome beers.
THE POND - Jason Voorhees can move in !
Now we just need a million or so dollars.
